Hi! Does anyone know if she's having anything in Norway in the next months or anything at all? It's so quiet from her these days..

I don't know if she's having anything in Norway the next months, except she's tweeting about a new album maybe coming for christmas or next year and today there was a meeting about a TV performance, but she wanted people to guess which show, so we don't know which show and in which country (it could be the UK or Germany or Holland, or even Norway, I'm not sure). she has also mentioned that a song of hers will be featured as a film-track, but we don't know which film this is, either.

she said in an interview (I think it was with 730.no) lately that her plans for 2010 were to keep out of the press coverage and make the world's best Mena-record.

but it is quiet, I agree with you about that, annem.

What would have been really cool is if it is "4-stjerners middag halv 8". I would have loved that!!

for the Norwegians: Maria will appear at "Lydverket" 28th of April, sharing the stage with Melissa Horn (the Swedish singer/songwriter), and they tape it April 27th at Internasjonalen, Oslo. NRK has 100 tickets for free, but it is the first ones who e-mail "Lydverket" that get the free tickets. there is more information here:

so Annem and I were at the Lydverket-recording last night, it was great. Morten (Myklebust, that is) played the guitar and Maria sang. first Maria did one of Melissa Horn's songs as a duet with Melissa, then Melissa sang four of her own songs with her band (among them were "Lät du henne komma närmre" and "Jag kan inte skilja på", which I adore) and at last Maria and Morten entered the stage. first they did "Sorry", in which Morten and Maria sang the lay your weary head down-part together, then Maria sang "Sorry" all alone and then they did the lay your weary head down-part at the end too. next up was "All This Time", in which Maria had the crowd singing on the chorus and she made Morten sing the very last part of the song. as the final song, they did "Just Hold Me". after they were done, Annem went to talk with Maria and I stood watching them for a couple of minutes until they waved me over. "is it you that is frøken eske?" Maria said, "I always thought you were someone else." and I saw Martin Sjølie walking through the crowd at Internasjonalen before the taping started, I saw Chirag of the rap duo Karpe Diem arrive - there was quite a few celebrities in the room as Maria and Melissa performed.

also, Maria sang one of her new songs, "Homeless", for the very first time last night. it was beautiful. I hope Anne Marte (annem) had the best time, I sure felt moved through watching it at my screen.

I saw That film on youtube just now! Not sure if I liked it, but it was definitely special for those two to sing together! I love them both!!

Is her new song anywhere to be found?

I filmed the new one, but I don't think I will upload it. The quality is really bad (You can't hear any words but "and I feel homeless") and I don't want anyone to get a bad impression of the song because of that... But I can tell you - it was magical. She's amazing.

I recommend Sommerfesten for next year. It's an amazing festival, both for us "normal" people and the artists. A lot of the artists were just walking around watching their friends perform and enjoying themselves
